About Kyle Tate & KT Cycles

Kyle Tate doesn't just work on motorcycles — he builds machines. Growing up around classic cars, hot rods, and heavy equipment in his father's paving business, Kyle learned two things early: how machines work, and what it takes to run a quality operation. His father instilled the fundamentals — discipline, work ethic, and doing things right the first time. Those lessons haven't left him.

By 21, Kyle had built his first custom Harley chopper from the ground up. By 24, he'd completed a full frame-up hot rod build. Not restored. Built. Since then, he's completed countless custom builds and restorations for customers — projects that demand fabrication skill, mechanical depth, and absolute attention to detail.

Kyle attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, training on Harley and Honda platforms. He excelled — and went further, helping the school organize a tutoring program to help fellow students master electrical systems. That ability to break down complex problems carries into every build and every customer conversation.

His skill set runs deep: welding, machining, and custom fabrication; electrical systems and diagnostics approached at an engineering level; dyno tuning Harley-Davidson motorcycles since 2014; and the business sense to run a shop where quality control isn't an afterthought.

KT Cycles started in a home garage in 2008. Kyle outgrew it fast. In 2022, he built a brand-new facility at 14 Howard Drive — acting as his own general contractor, coordinating subs, and putting his hands on the work himself. Same as always.

Hard work. Precision. Integrity. No shortcuts, no excuses, no compromise.
